DSC96110R is the mould behind our 14oz metallic-finish and transparent coloured candle vessels — Ø96 × H110 mm with 480 g of glass. DSC1010R is the same height and fill with a wider 100 mm opening and a full 500 g of glass. DSC11080R is the wide, low option at 110 mm across and only 80 mm high: the profile to choose when you want an oversized-looking candle without a tall silhouette.

Wax fill, wick and burn-time notes

Wax fill: approximately 340–390 g, leaving 15–20 mm of headspace. On 96–100 mm openings, headspace control matters more than on smaller jars because surface irregularity is more visible.
Wick: two wicks are the norm at this diameter. A three-wick layout can be used on the 100–110 mm moulds for a faster, more even melt pool — validate on a filled sample before specifying.
Burn time: roughly 60–80 hours with a matched wick set. Figures vary with wax type, fragrance load and wick configuration, so treat any published number as a planning estimate and confirm on your own trial.

14oz jars are supplied in clear glass, sprayed and internally coloured glass, frosted and matte finishes, and metallic or electroplated effects including pearl, rose gold, bronze and chrome-look coatings. Samples: 3–7 days for existing moulds. Electroplated and gradient finishes need an extra few days for the sampled decoration.

What makes a 14oz candle jar different from a 16oz jar?

The difference is small in volume — around 500 ml versus roughly 570 ml — but visible in proportion. A 14oz jar at 96–100 mm across is still comfortable to hold one-handed and fits standard gift boxes, while a 16oz jar usually pushes into a wider, heavier format with higher freight cost per unit.

Can 14oz candle jars be electroplated?

Yes, and this is one of the most common finishes we run at this size. Electroplated and metallic effects need a decorated sample for approval first, because colour varies slightly between batches and the larger surface area of a 500 ml jar makes any shift more noticeable.

What wick size suits a 14oz candle jar?

At a 96–100 mm diameter, plan on two wicks as a baseline, or three on the wider 110 mm mould. The correct size depends on your wax blend and fragrance load, so the wick specification should be confirmed on a filled and burned sample rather than taken from a general table.

Do you supply 14oz jars with wooden lids?

Yes. We supply wooden lids in bamboo and stained timber, with EPE or silicone sealing pads, and they can be decorated or branded to match your label. Because the three 14oz moulds have different openings, quote the lid against the specific model number you are ordering.
